Christmas time is always special for children. They make handicrafts, sing and practise their recorder at home to make sure they’re ready for Christmas Eve. Pencils are sharpened, and wish lists continuously revised until they can finally be sent off to Santa.
During this exciting time, a short stroll through the Christmas market with parents or grandparents makes for a nice diversion. Children who happen to meet Santa in Münzgasse on the dot of 4pm and perfectly recite a poem or song to him will be lucky enough to receive gifts from Santa’s sack. Their faces light up when his little helper spends a whole hour with them.
